Call for Papers

The Third International Conference on CyberGIS and Geospatial Data Science will take place July 26 - 28, 2016 in Urbana, IL, USA. The year’s international event builds on the successes of the First International Conference on Space, Time, and CyberGIS (CyberGIS'12) and Second International Conference on CyberGIS and Geodesign (CyberGIS'14). CyberGIS'16 will include an international research symposium that will bring together foremost researchers, practitioners, and educators to share their expertise and knowledge in cyberGIS, geospatial data science, and related fields.

Submissions are invited in two tracks:

  • Short Peer-Reviewed Papers of up to 4 pages
  • Poster Presentations

Both of these provide an opportunity to share with the international community your latest innovations in theories, methods, and applications of cyberGIS and geospatial data science.

The best short papers and presentations will be invited to expand and submit their papers to a special issue (TBD). Accepted papers are delivered as short oral presentations at the conference by a listed author.

Submissions

  • To submit a conference paper or short paper, please use this document template, and submit to the EasyChair page. The four page limit includes all figures and references.
  • To submit a poster presentation, please submit your poster abstract of less than 250 words to cybergis16@cybergis.org with a subject line of "CyberGIS'16 Poster Submission."

The conference chairs will work with the program committee to review submissions. Please note that the submission deadline is June 10, 2016 at 11:59pm CDT (2nd call, deadline extended).

Travel Funding

Travel funding is available to a limited number of graduate students or postdoctoral scholars. Please see the travel award information.

It is anticipated that CyberGIS'16 will be highly visible and very fruitful in the midst of this exciting time of synergistically advancing cyberGIS, geographic information science, and high performance computing. Multiple institutions, federal agencies, and industrial partners will participate and/or sponsor the conference.

Thank you in advance for your interest. We look forward to a very stimulating and productive conference!

Best regards,
CyberGIS'16 Organizing Committee
